India, since the rise of the Hindu party, has been one of the most aggressive persecutors of our brothers and sisters in Christ.  The police seldom help, indeed they are often either active participants in the persecution or enablers after the fact.  The US, for geo-political reasons, has been cozying up to India without any noticeable attempt to pressure the Indian government to do something.  We can say the same thing about Nigeria, Pakistan, China and other nations large and small.  It is clear that Christians in much of the world can count on help only from other Christians and especially from the Lord who gives them the strength they need to be living witnesses to the power of God over the world.
"No particular Church has ... a right to existence, except as it believes itself the most perfect from of Christianity, the form which of right, should and will be universal."
