Can you possibly drop that ridiculous ďbest constructionď phrase, Julio? It does not always apply. And hereís why.
There is no best construction to put on the unimaginable crap that comes from the Qanon people, One of them now a member of Congress, one of them until a couple of days ago an Attorney for the president.
There is no best construction to put on the verified lies, thousands of them, from the man who is still in the White House.
There is no best instruction to put on the lies from convicted criminals who support him, probably seeking a pardon.
There is no best construction to put on a clear violation of recent protocols concerning the transfer of presidential authority.
And you are foolishly wrong to say that I slander and belittle and personally attack anyone with whom I disagree. I do not do that.
Most of the people with whom I disagree really, in the grand scheme of things, donít matter much.
The president of our United States does matter.
So when he lies, when he cheats, when he attempts to undermine democracy, when he acts like a tantrum-throwing five-year-old, you can be darn sure I am going to oppose that. Because it matters.

Do you really believe, Pastor Cottingham, that 73 million Americans believe the election was fatally flawed? How would you determine that?
Quite a number of intelligent, responsible, adult Republicans (and there still are such creatures) believe that what happened in the November election was quite simple: their candidate lost.
I donít normally make predictions. But Iím going to risk one.
If Republicans let the ex-president continue as a force in, or even leader of their party, the elections two years from now will give the Democrats full control of the House and the Senate. By landslides. Get smart. Donít let this lying fool become the symbol of your party. Your party is better than that. We need you the way you were before him.

Itís been said that if one canít say something good .. donít say anything at all ... that is included in ďbest constructionĒ.

Are there criminals that support your candidates and position?  You are unable to authoritatively answer that question so quit associating criminal activity only to your opponents.

As far as your hate for Qanon, itís simply an example of your intolerance of opinions other than your own.

May I remind you that to this day www.antifa.com takes the surfer to https://joebiden.com/presidency-for-all-americans/

Does that indicates that you are an antifa supporter?  The eighth commandment ďbest constructionĒ prohibits me from drawing that conclusion.

Your lies are others truths ... continually hammering away on you version of your truth changes nothing in the minds of most.

Who is the "we"?  Do you mean the Republican Party of John Kasich, Mitt Romney, Justin Amash, Jeb Bush, George W. Bush, Dick Cheney?  They were "before him".

Alan Jacobs penned a new article in the Hedgehog Review entitled "Ten Theses on Monism and Pluralism, Plus a Quotation", subtext: "All monisms strive for hegemony."  Sorry, it's a new article so cannot yet be linked wothout going through Alan Jacob's website, but it's at the top there: https://social.ayjay.org/ .  Thank you Alan Jacobs!

I would describe Professor Jacobs (Baylor University, Waco, TX) as a Christian liberal philosopher.  The article benefits from a major quote (about one-half of the short article) from Isaiah Berlin.  The key point relates to both sides of a very divided political scene in the USA, and seems a call to "be aware".

Recommended to perhaps help inform this discussion, unless your political monism is symbolized by a silo.

"And it followed a key court decision in Pennsylvania, where the stateís Supreme Court on Monday ruled against the Trump campaign and the presidentís Republican allies, stating that roughly 8,000 ballots with signature or date irregularities must be counted."
One would think that the objective should be to increase confidence in the manner in which the election was administered.

The bolded statement does the exact opposite ... increases doubt and furthers the belief that election irregularities exist.

It would be great if links to quoted material is included .., itís so easy to do .., failure to provide this common courtesy further raises doubts as to the validity of the post.

Wisconsin law (2015 Wisconsin Act 261) requires that witnesses for an absentee ballot provide their address when signing the absentee certificate envelope.  The vote is not to be counted if the witness address is missing.

SECTION 78. 6.87 (6d) of the statutes is created to read:
6.87 (6d) If a certificate is missing the address of a witness, the ballot may not be counted.

The Wisconsin Election Commission provided guidance on how a clerk may "cure" missing witness addresses without contacting the voter.

The purpose of this memorandum is to offer guidance to assist you in addressing this issue. The WEC has determined that clerks must take corrective actions in an attempt to remedy a witness address error.  If clerks are reasonably able to discern any missing information from outside sources, clerks are not required to contact the voter before making that correction directly to the absentee certificate envelope.

Interesting...

We're both outside sources, so we're qualified !  Why haven't they called?

People are entitled to their own opinions. They are not entitled to their own facts. Opinions based on lies are not valid opinions.
With no trust left in the media, facts are few and far between .. but to incessantly verbally assault, slander, and personally attach those whom you  disagree with should be outside forum decorum.  You rarely if ever cross that line ...when efforts are made to associate criminal behavior solely with supporter of ones opponents, that's crossing the line.

Incessant branding of one's opponents as trolls/anonymous is simple name calling and personal attack with the clear intent of avoiding oneís opposition.

Your lies are others facts ... and visa versa.
