My thanks to the delegate who attempted to get the recommendation of my book, LUTHER'S SMALL CATECHISM: A MANUAL FOR DISCIPLESHIP removed from the resolution. The unintended consequence was boosted sales. The discussion prompted a number of delegates to purchase copies at the book signing yesterday afternoon. Thanks for the great publicity.

Glad you book is doing well. It is a helpful resource and the more resources the better in combating our lackluster parish education programs which have become (as von Schenk loved to quote from George Stoeckhardt) "the slow extended suicide of our churches."

I think the concern was including it with: The Small Catechism, Large Catechism and "other books published by CPH". It seemed to place it in a no man's land between two of the Symbolic Books and all the other helpful materials published by CPH and was done so without any stated rationale. As I mentioned - I am partial to von Schenk's Lively Stone Catechism and First Communion manual myself. It doesn't even get included in the CPH material...

I read the ALPB bio "Lively Stone", but is that Catechism available anywhere?  Is that you edited "The Presence"? Curious as to what he would put in the Q&A as compared to the recently updated Synodical one.

Outside of the copies that I have, which I have shared with friends and colleagues, and I believe a copy which may be in the Ft. Wayne Library, I don't believe it is in print.

I can send you one of you wish when I get back to NY. PM me your address.
