4. Compare 07 to previous LCMS conventions

I wonder if the convention didn't "take it easy" at this one in view of the big changes planned for the special convention.

Well -- we didn't even get anything passed regarding the "special" convention until the last day.  And even then, we didn't actually call such a "special" convention.  The Council of Presidents will have to do that -- and I know some of them disagree as to whether or not there is a need, first of all, and whether or not 2009 is too soon to do it.   I imagine they'll call it eventually -- but as of now, there is no "special convention" planned.
