Not being LCMS, I immediately thought of President Benjamin Harrison. Well, it may have to do with the NY Times crossword (in the syndicated version, so some weeks later than the real version) today which introduced me to a new term, "double dactyl." When I looked that up in Wikipedia, it offered me this example by John Hollander, which I found highly amusing:

Higgledy piggledy,
Benjamin Harrison,
Twenty-third president
Was, and, as such,

Served between Clevelands and
Save for this trivial
Idiosyncrasy,
Didn't do much.

Great stuff!  Who was that actor, anyway?  I remember him from other things through the years.  Could it be that he's been running the Missouri Synod?

Excellent - when Dorothy Parker wrote "Men seldom make passes/At girls who wear glasses," Ogden Nash rejoined, "A girl who is bespectacled
She may not get her nectacled."

Yes, the rumpled part of Burns and Schreiber. I remember them from the 1970s. Man, they do resemble each other don't they? Thanks for a much needed chuckle!
