My latin is poor. Gift from God?

Well, as it's said, The project is two years old, the conversation almost that long. It certainly ought to be seen as part of the long term "What God is doing to North American Lutheranism" thing. It will be interesting to see what ELCA call committees react. It will be funny when they say "That's nice, but you have to do a Lutheran year."

I think that you are referring to candidancy committees.
"The church had made us like ill-taught piano students; we play our songs, but we never really hear them, because our main concern is not to make music, but but to avoid some flub that will get us in dutch." [Robert Capon, _Between Noon and Three_, p. 148]

Actually I was thinking about  candidacy. If any of you out there are thinking about becoming an ELCA pastor you can go here http://www.elca.org/candidacy/ or follow the link jannielou gave! Also, deo datum = God-thing?
