Minneapolis would be a nice place for the convention.  Good enough for the RNC convention in 2008 and a very possible location for the Democratic convention in 2012.

At least in the LCMS we argue over the Semper Virgo.  If we were in the ELCA we would be arguing over whether Mary was a virgin prior to the birth of Christ.

Has anyone seen any vote results for President of Synod by clergy vs. laity?  Was the vote for Harrison from the clergy vote and from the laity vote both approx. 54%?

Trinity V in our congregation....

Hymns worshiping God alone -- no nation worship.  Whether Pastor will include a petition in the prayers I don't know.  Certainly there will be no celebration of the sin of our forefathers in revolting against their government and starting an unjust war.
